Showcasing Skill, Talent & Teamwork with our 2026 Musical Production
8 May 2026

Within our co-curricular Performing Arts program, a major musical is staged each year to showcase the incredible talents of our Middle and Senior School students, both on and behind the stage. Our annual Year 7-Year 12 Musical features a new production each year, with a changing theme that allows students to explore a range of performance styles, stories and creative opportunities.

This year, King’s proudly presented Madagascar: A Musical Adventure JR - a high-energy production featuring vibrant characters, dynamic choreography and a lively musical score.

Across this production, audiences were treated to performances that brought to life Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo, and the mischievous penguins, as they journeyed from Central Park Zoo to the wilds of Madagascar, where they encountered the unforgettable King Julien. The production was filled with humour, colour, and energy, inviting audiences to enjoy a fun-filled theatrical experience that celebrates teamwork, talent and creativity on and off the stage.
