We’re excited to invite our ELC-Year 4 students to a Glow in the Dark Dance-A-Thon, hosted by One50 Dance School, to help raise funds towards the postage of our Operation Christmas Child boxes.
Event Details
- Date: Friday 16 October - Term 4, Week 1
- Location: Michael Parfitt Theatre
- Who: ELC-Year 4 students
- What to Wear: Plain white or Christmas-themed clothing with PE shorts or pants
- Action: Purchase sausage and drink tickets (optional)
Each year, our students generously fill Operation Christmas Child boxes with gifts for children and families in communities around the world. Once the boxes are packed, there is also a cost involved in sending them on their journey, and this special event will help us contribute towards those postage costs.
Friday 16 October (Week 1) is OCC Celebration Day at King's, we will have a Combined EY JS OCC Bonfire at 8:50am and each class will enjoy a 45-minute Glow in the Dark dance session with One50 Dance School in our school theatre.
Students are encouraged to wear a plain white top or a Christmas-themed top to help them glow under the lights. PE shorts and pants are also to be worn.
We encourage families to purchase a sausage and drink ticket for their child to enjoy at lunchtime. This is completely optional, and students are welcome to bring their usual lunch if they prefer.
All funds raised through the sausage and drink sales will go towards the postage costs for our Operation Christmas Child boxes, helping ensure the boxes prepared by our King’s community can reach children around the world.
We can’t wait to see our students glow, dance and have fun while supporting such a meaningful cause!
