Subject Overview
Stage 2 Physical Education involves the integration of theoretical and practical concepts and context.
Physical Education provides students with the opportunity to explore their physical capacities and investigate the factors that influence and improve participation and performance outcomes, which lead to greater movement confidence and competence.
An integrated approach to learning supports an Arnoldian educational framework that promotes deep learning “in, through, and about” physical activity.
This framework involves reflection and articulation of learning processes, development of skills to enhance participation and performance, and the exploration of movement concepts and strategies across a range of physical activity contexts.
