A Strong Start to Senior School with the Year 10 Survivor Camp
14 Feb 2025

To mark the key transition from Middle School to Senior School, our Year 10 cohort embarked on the highly anticipated Survivor Camp at the beginning of Term 1. This House-based camp invites students to step beyond their comfort zones, working collaboratively in teams to complete a range of physical, mental and strategic challenges.

Held over four days, the camp brought students together in their House groups - Baldock, Brimblecombe, Warren and White - to compete in activities designed to build resilience, teamwork and House spirit. With each student proudly wearing their camp shirt, teams engaged in a series of demanding trials, all in pursuit of the prestigious Survivor Cup.

The program featured a diverse mix of challenges including swimming, problem-solving, endurance tasks and coordination-based competitions. Throughout the week, motivation was kept high with a range of well-earned incentives - from movie nights with snacks, to refreshing gelati and the ever-popular pub feed. Each House had moments to shine: Brimblecombe led with unity and strength from day one, Warren and White showed grit in the raft build, and Baldock’s key victory secured their place at the reward table.

After four competitive and memorable days, Brimblecombe emerged as the 2025 Survivor Cup Champion – a proud and well-deserved achievement for the team.

While the competition added excitement, it was the spirit of camaraderie that truly defined the experience. Students forged new friendships, deepened existing ones and strengthened their identity within their House and pastoral groups. The camp offered space for personal reflection and growth, giving students the confidence to take on challenges and support one another in meaningful ways.

Points earned during Survivor Camp contribute to the prestigious Eley Cup, continuing to foster a healthy sense of competition and House pride throughout the year.

More than just a camp, Survivor is a transformative experience. It sets the tone for Senior School, helping students develop leadership skills, discover inner strengths and build lasting connections. For many, it remains one of the most impactful and memorable moments of their King’s journey - a time of challenge, growth and shared purpose that leaves a lasting impression well beyond the camp itself.
