Year 9 Leaving a Legacy

One Semester

Subject Overview

This subject explores how individuals and communities create meaningful and lasting change. Students will examine the principles of change theory, motivation, behaviour and the psychology behind inspiring others to take action. Through this learning, students will develop a deeper understanding of leadership, influence and the factors that contribute to positive social impact.

A key focus of the course is metacognition, with students reflecting on how they think, learn, lead and respond to challenges. Students will then apply these understandings through a real-world service project, collaborating with others to identify a community need, plan purposeful action and implement initiatives that create a positive and sustainable impact beyond the classroom.
